2019 Bulldog Jog!
We’re so excited about our 11th annual fall fundraiser: The Birch Elementary Bulldog Jog! The Bulldog Jog is set to take place on Friday, September 20, 2019, 9:30-11:00am, at Birch Elementary. The goal is to promote fitness & fun, get 100% participation, and at the same time raise much needed funds for our school. The Birch PTO and the Birch staff members would like to thank you in advance for participating in our biggest fundraiser of the year. Every dollar raised impacts all of our students! This year, money raised will go directly toward providing additional paraprofessional support in classrooms. Please help us reach our goal of raising $21,000!
Here’s how it works:
1. Starting on September 9th, students will seek monetary donations from family, friends, and neighbors to support their goal of running, walking, or jogging one mile around the school grounds (100 yards for preschool and kindergarten). Friendly class and individual competitions as well as random prize drawings throughout the two weeks encourage students to participate, no matter how much or little money they raise.
2. On Friday, September 20th, we encourage you to come cheer on the Birch Bulldogs as they run, walk, or jog 1 mile around the school grounds (100 yards for preschool and kindergarten.) This course is a long way to run, jog or walk, so please join us at 9:30 in the circle drive to help cheer on the students!
Bulldog Jog Race Start Times:
9:30- Pre K and K
9:35 - Grade 1
9:40- Grade 2
9:45- Grade 3
9:50- grade 4
9:55- grade 5
Please come line the streets and course to cheer for our Bulldogs!
This year’s Bulldog Jog packet includes a Family Letter with more detailed information. It also includes a Donation Form which provides language to help students make donation requests, as well as a place to keep track of who they've asked for donations and tax-deductible donation receipts. NEW this year, we can accept donations via BVSD’s RevTrack. It’s simple to use and share, so please consider reaching out to family and friends near and far! For each donation made in your child’s name, he or she receives a chance to win awesome prizes! Prize drawing dates are September 9th, 11th, and 19th. Some companies will price-match donations, so please consider reaching out to them!
Additionally, students can bring cash and check donations along with Prize Drawing Slips starting Monday, September 9th. For each prize drawing slip turned in, your child receives a chance to win awesome prizes! Prize drawing dates are September 9th, 11th,17th, and 19th.
