Library

Our school library has a mission to promote information and digital literacy, foster a love of reading, and support curriculum goals.

The teacher librarian empowers students to become independent critical thinkers who can effectively access and evaluate information in the 21st century. These essential skills will serve students throughout their lives as they pursue further educational and recreational interests.

At Birch Elementary’s school library, we curate a vibrant collection of diverse, current, and age-appropriate materials that spark curiosity and imagination. Our collection includes a variety of genres, from popular series to graphic novels and non-fiction titles, ensuring there’s something for every student. These resources are used to promote inquiry, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the world.

In addition to encouraging information literacy skills development and reading enjoyment, the school library provides vital resources and technology to meet the information needs of both students and teachers. All of these resources and services are accessible within an inviting, dynamic learning environment.
